M
arta Berry is originally from Barcelona, Spain.  Marta began her adult life with a sense of wonder and adventure.  By the age of 25, Marta had spent extended periods in Mexico City, London, New York City, and on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza. She had stood atop ancient pyramids, experienced the glamour of Manhattan and the depravity of the poor Hispanic boroughs of New York.  She had led the free-spirited life of private jet stewardess in Europe and resort beach exercise instructor in Ibiza. Yet by 25, Marta began to feel spiritual inquietudes and a seeking for a deeper enlightenment.  Marta becomes a member of the world-peace and healing organization Sukyo Mahikari.  Marta studied the teachings of the Buddhist mystics and the practice of the divine art of purification through MahikariMahikari, a Japanese practice involving energy shared and exchanged through one-on-one healing meditation, is based on long standing eastern philosophic and physical principles (for example, chi and the chakras). Marta studied Mahikari in Paris, Luxemburg, the US, and in Japan.  Finding release and a discovery of new ways of understanding the existence of humanity and the individual, Marta grew on an intimate spiritual journey.

On the last day of 1996, Marta moved to Miami, Florida.  She meet Paul Berry and they married in 1999.  It was during this time in Miami that she began an active and concentrated study of yoga.  Taking classes in various studios, with the knowledge that yoga is another space to grow on the spiritual path, Marta met Rossella Rossi.  Yogi Rossella Rosi inspired and motivated Marta to enter yoga instruction and in 2005, Marta completed foundation teacher training with Rossela at the Namaste Healing center in Asheville, NC.

Since that time, Marta she has attended workshops with masters Richard Freeman, Natasha Rizopolous,  Baxter Bell, Shiva Rea, John Friend, Desiree Rumbaugh, Sienna Sherman,   Lisa Richards, and Sean Corn.

Marta keeps moving in the western part of the US, finding workshops and retreats in which to assist, to learn, and to improve her practice – deepening her studies.

“What I most love about yoga, is that it's an endless journey."

Her classes follow a dynamic VINYASA flow, and challenge, continually seeking the comprehensive physical limitations leading to modification - alignment of the body, mind and soul.

“After a yoga class, the mind likes to feel calm, the body aligned and limber and the soul open and joyful.  A new frame of happiness needs to shine after every session."
